PARTICIPATE IN CAW

CAW hosts several forums, peer-to-peer learning opportunities, and knowledge exchanges. 

Full CAW  

This is a space for all CAW members. Full CAW meets to share and learn about projects and initiatives related to climate resilience. Meetings often feature guest speakers from the region. Recent presentation topics include: CAW’s Five-Year Intentions, DEIJA Values in Practice Across the CAW Network, and Climate Impacts on Natural Resources. Time commitment: 2 hours every other month 

CAW Outreach 

This is a space for CAW members supporting, participating in, or leading community outreach and engagement activities. CAW Outreach meets monthly to plan CAW initiatives, including the Climate Summit, Picturing Rising Tides, and CAW communications. Participants also ask for feedback, request support, and think collaboratively about their own projects during CAW Outreach meetings.  Time commitment: 2 hours every month 

CAW Talks 

This is a space for CAW members who represent municipalities and practitioners who regularly support climate adaptation initiatives in partnership with them. CAW Talks meets virtually every other month to discuss topics of shared interest, generate best practices, and experiment with new ideas. Recent discussion topics include: Offshore Wind and Community Benefits Agreements, Balancing Regional Housing Needs and Environmental Regulation, Land Use Regulations to Build Resilience. Time commitment: 1.5 hours every other month
