Hampton requested a comprehensive update and reorganization of the Special Flood Hazard Area and Floodplain Development Regulations sections of their zoning ordinance. Using a model recently development by the NH Office of Energy Planning, the existing zoning sections were reorganized and combined into one section, and in some instances strengthened and expanded upon for clarity. The Planning Board held a public hearing in December and moved the zoning amendment to a warrant article for vote at 2017 town meeting.
