Staff from the Great Bay NERR developed a forum to advance the awareness and understanding of climate change efforts in Portsmouth among organizations working to adapt to or mitigate the effects of climate change. There are multiple city departments, commissions and planning groups, as well as state commissions, regional organizations, local non-profits and private organizations working on climate related issues in Portsmouth. Progress has been fast and efforts have for the most part been isolated. As such, it was timely to come together to share each organizational focus, resources of knowledge, and enthusiasm to help synchronize and advance our efforts.
