About the NH Climate Summit
The NH Climate Summit is a biennial event showcasing the latest research, adaptation projects, art, and climate initiatives taking place in coastal NH communities and neighboring states. Attendees who live and work in NH’s coastal watershed and beyond will share, learn, and connect on how to support a resilient coast.
Who will attend:
- Students and researchers
- Technical assistance providers
- Volunteer boards and municipal staff in New Hampshire
- State agency staff
- Elected officials
- Public Health providers
- Community-based organizations and partners
- Natural resource professionals

Attendees will . . .
- Build knowledge of climate impacts, climate vulnerabilities, and resilience assets in tidal and riverine areas within the inland and coastal communities in New Hampshire’s coastal watershed.
- Feel motivated to act using information, resources, network/connections, and tools shared during the NHCAW Climate Summit.
- Build new and strengthen existing connections with people working together toward an environmentally, socially, and economically resilient New Hampshire coastal watershed.
Call for Speakers and Art - Now open!
Share your work, knowledge, and art at the 2026 CAW Climate Summit. This biennial event will feature stories about local climate impacts and how communities are adapting to those changes in the region and beyond. Youth, students, people with lived or learned experience of climate impacts, people working on connected challenges in the region (e.g., housing security, racial and social justice, public health, etc.), researchers, changemakers, and artists are all encouraged to submit an idea.
Seeking presentation ideas with a preference for the following themes:
- Green, Gray, and Everything In-between – This category includes new knowledge about climate impacts, vulnerabilities, and resilience assets in New Hampshire’s coastal watershed, and a focus on ecosystems and the biological indicators of a changing coast.
- 3,2,1… Action! – Innovative ‘out of the box’ examples, and more broadly how plans are being put into action to make New Hampshire coastal watershed neighborhood, natural resources, and communities more sustainable and resilient in the face of coastal hazards
- It’s All Connected — efforts addressing multiple priorities to improve well-being and resilience (e.g., housing and affordability, community development, conservation and restoration, public access, flood and hazard management)
- Looking to Our Neighboring Coastlines – Lessons learned from coastal adaptation projects throughout New England. New Hampshire is sandwiched between neighboring states with robust, state-funded municipal resilience frameworks. This session would bring those models to the NH Seacoast to see what can be adapted.
Seeking art ideas whether written and visual art (e.g., writers, painters, photographers, etc.) and/or audio-based art (e.g., poetry, music, etc.) related to climate change impacts and human resilience.
Submit your presentation or artwork idea here by Friday, March 13, 2026. The form should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. You will be notified by April 10, 2026.
Join virtual “Office Hours” to talk out an idea, ask questions, or seek assistance on the submission process. Participation is voluntary. Please register in advance to receive the meeting link.
